On August 8, 2024, Green Technology Park (GTP) had the distinct honour of hosting a delegation of researchers from Universiti Teknologi Petronas. The primary objective of their visit was to gain insights into Nextgreen’s innovative business model and to engage in collaborative discussions regarding our mutual commitment to achieving sustainability goals.
The delegation was provided with an informative tour of our pulp and paper manufacturing facility, where they were introduced to our pioneering bio-integrated zero-waste concept. Observing our dedication to recycling and waste reinvention, alongside our efforts to maximize resource efficiency, left a significant impression on our visitors.
They expressed particular interest in the innovative processes we employ to convert by-products into valuable resources, highlighting the potential for sustainability to be seamlessly integrated into industrial operations. Additionally, during their visit to GTP, our guests explored our greenhouse, where we cultivate a diverse array of fruits and vegetables using our oil palm-based biofertilizer.
The visit fostered meaningful dialogue between both parties, creating an environment conducive to knowledge exchange and collaboration. Discussions centered on future sustainability initiatives and the potential for joint ventures, presenting exciting opportunities for mutual growth.
