Green Technology Park (GTP) recently hosted a group of researchers from Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) or an industrial visit aimed at exploring cellulose processing and the facilities involved. This visit is anticipated to pave the way for collaboration between UPNM and Nextgreen in the field of research and development (R&D), particularly concerning cellulose.
During their visit, the researchers participated in a guided tour of our pulp and paper manufacturing facility, where they gained valuable insights into our bio-integrated zero-waste concept. They learned about our strategies for transforming waste into valuable green products, as well as our commitment to recycling and enhancing resource efficiency.
In addition to the factory tour, the researchers explored our greenhouse, where they observed firsthand how we cultivate fruits and vegetables using our innovative biofertilizer. They were introduced to Nextgreen’s diverse product range, which includes EFB-based pulp and paper, cutting-edge food packaging solutions, and oil palm-based fertilizers. The researchers were particularly impressed by our commitment to the zero-waste concept and circular economy practices, which align with our vision for a sustainable future.
Moreover, the visit facilitated meaningful discussions on potential collaborations, providing an excellent opportunity to bridge the gap between academia and industry. We look forward to exploring these collaborative avenues further, leveraging our combined expertise to advance research and innovation in sustainable practices.
