Visit to Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM)

During a visit to Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, a delegation led by Managing Director of Nextgreen Global, Dato’ Lim Thiam Huat had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the lush green surroundings. The purpose of the visit was to discuss FRIM’s bioeconomy support activities, with a particular focus on the sustainable development of the pulp and paper as well as the herbal manufacturing industries. As part of the visit, Mohd Shahidan Mohd Arshad, the Head of Technology Development Programme at the Innovation and Commercialisation Division, delivered an insightful presentation titled ‘R&D FRIM Product Prospects for the Pulp & Paper Industry and the Biomedical Industry.’ This visit provided a valuable platform for Nextgreen to explore potential collaborations and gain insights into the innovative research and development initiatives conducted by FRIM in these sectors.
